North Lebanon's main feature lies in its notable number of medieval castles, churches and monasteries scattered all across its landscape. Many of these crusader structures have remained to this day and are in use by the local communities.

About Us
The Lebanon Business Linkages Initiative (LBLI) is a USAID-funded project implemented in partnership with ACDIVOCA, AED and AFE, which promotes sustainable economic growth through private sector-driven initiatives in Agribusiness, Tourism and Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
LBLI works with private sector businesses and organizations to bring about economic growth characterized by expanded and sustainable market linkages for producers and small and medium-sized enterprises operating in target value chains.
With its Lebanese private sector partners, both firms and organizations, LBLI seeks to achieve the following:
- Expand economic growth opportunities for producers and small enterprises by working with successful Lebanese firms to develop and expand ventures in target value chains which link small businesses and producers to sustainable market opportunities.
- Define opportunities for competitive sector positioning in Agribusiness, Tourism and ICT by assessing local, regional and global markets to identify new targets and opportunities of targeted firms and creation of jobs.
Develop and implement action plans for sector growth by working with business leaders and their support organizations to set priorities and design required initiatives.
Strengthen the framework for private sector-driven growth by supporting business associations to define and deliver appropriate support programs to their memberships; by assisting the private sector to identify and address gaps in private sector ability to strengthen the business environment for trade and investment.
