North Lebanon's main feature lies in its notable number of medieval castles, churches and monasteries scattered all across its landscape. Many of these crusader structures have remained to this day and are in use by the local communities.

Lebanon's authentic cuisine is rich in healthy and tasty dishes. Lebanese culinary art is based on Mediterranean ingredients yet influenced by several cuisines like the Turkish and French. Also, Armenian restaurants and products are favorites in Lebanon.

In the oriental sweet shops, Baklawa and Kneffe are the major kinds of different sweets offerings. Lebanon’s sunny Bekaa Valley, its monasteries and few chateaux, and its old grape varieties makes it a destination for wine industries, some Lebanese wines were voted among the best wines in the world. The famous local drink, usually consumed with the Mezzes the anis flavored “Arak”.

Once Lebanon was considered as the oriental Switzerland, this becomes apparent when you enter the chocolate boutiques. World wide renowned chocolate is a very unexpectedly competitive product in Lebanon. Lebanese “chocolatiers”, compete with Swiss chocolates and treat their products as Jewelers do.
